“/private” is one of the most important folder used by Mac OS X. It contains Shared Libraries, files necessary for OS to function properly, settings, preferences & other necessities. once finder is opened, you can now see all the hidden files in your folders. - In Finder, Go to “Go-> Computer”. This will now show you “private” folder
- Right click it, go to “Get Info” and change “Sharing & Preferences” manually.
